Many of us experience stress during the day. Don’t be afraid to admit it – we’re all under immense levels of stress nearly every day, and considering the fast way of life, it’s not going to get easier. In order to subdue it, we all take different kinds of pills.
Painkillers, anxiety pills, sleeping pills – we all take them every day and they’re silently ruining our health. Thing is, there are many simple natural ways of putting stress under control without any negative effects on our health.
No, you don’t need to make an ancient Russian remedy this time. It’s only magnesium – the mineral can naturally relieve stress and anxiety and relax your muscles, getting you a much-needed break.
Taking magnesium supplements will relax your muscles just enough so you can sleep like a baby, which is about everything you need to reduce your anxiety and stress.
Instead of a supplement, though, we have delicious magnesium-filled gummies that you and your children will both love.
Homemade Magnesium Gummies
Who doesn’t love gummies? Seriously, we don’t trust people who don’t like gummies. They are sweet and chewy, but the homemade version will have for you today is much healthier than those things you can buy in the store.
Even better, the homemade gummies are based on gelatin, an anti-inflammatory agent that can relieve numerous problems. These gummies are much more effective against stress than sleeping pills or anti-anxiety meds and you don’t have to be a chef to prepare them.
One dose of the ingredients below will give you 35 gummies, which is enough for a week. Here’s what you need to do:
Ingredients
*5 tablespoons magnesium citrate powder
*1 tablespoon organic sweetener (honey, stevia)
*3 tablespoons gelatin powder
*250 ml. fresh lemon juice
*A bit of Himalayan pink salt
Directions
Take a glass bowl and pour the lemon juice in, then stir the magnesium citrate in it slowly. Don’t worry about the reaction – add spoon by spoon of the powder, allowing the reaction to settle down before adding more.
Now, pour the magnesium mix in a pan and the gelatin on top of it. The gelatin should start melting in a minute or two – that’s when you should stir well with a spoon.
Once the gelatin dissolves fully, put the mix on a stove on low-medium heat. The blend should liquify and combine in a short time – make sure to continue stirring. Once combined, add the salt and honey (or stevia or maple syrup), then start whisking gently. Make sure the mixture doesn’t get foamy.
When you’re done, pour the mix in a bowl. You need ¾ cups of liquid – if it’s not enough, pour more lemon juice or make a bigger amount.
Finally, pour the mix in a silicone muffin mold, let it solidify in a fridge for 30 minutes, and take the gummies out. You can have 5 of them per day – it’s all the magnesium your body needs.
We suggest starting with one or two per day if you’ve never taken magnesium supplements, as the mineral may cause diarrhea. As time passes, you’ll start feeling much better and the anxiety and stress will go away.
